Carnage.
Well done, England. They've been building nicely through the tournament and played with real focus and accuracy today.
Hawera-born Blair Murray was pretty much the only shining light for poor old Wales.
Looking forward to the final game. Scotland have had their moments, but I'm hoping France can win it, without Dupont. They'd already have it in the bag if not for their shockingly poor loss to England. Wonder which France will turn up today.

That was vintage New Zealand levels of putting a team to the sword.
The old way to make Fois Gras was to get the goose and force feed it with a kind of funnel and corkscrew arrangement, forcing food down the neck of the bird. They would be given salted water to keep them thirsty and so drinking in order to get more food down them.
Then there was the method of catching small birds in a net and the whole bird would be eaten, soft bones and all, you eat under a cloth.
I think France will dine on Scotland like that tonight, but we will see it all.

I'll be happy if we keep it respectable and show half the guts the U20's showed last night.Tichtheid wrote: Sat Mar 15, 2025 6:44 pm The old way to make Fois Gras was to get the goose and force feed it with a kind of funnel and corkscrew arrangement, forcing food down the neck of the bird. This has exorcised a number of Cardiff demons from my soul. Can’t pretend to have not enjoyed a second of that
C’mon the Scots

I am not going to pretend to have felt any sympathy for AWJ.Lady P wrote: Sat Mar 15, 2025 6:49 pm I almost felt for AWJ when Gabby asked him about Itoje as Lions captain then. He was very diplomatic (and also quite right)

England played some nice stuff at times and there were some good tries, but they had such unimpeded go forward. Still, ruthless and gave that Wales team the thrashing it deserved.
Speaking of Wales, do we just send them straight to Tier 3 rugby?

i.e. if France wins by just 1 point, they win the titleIf two or more teams are tied on table points, the team with the better points difference (points scored less points conceded) is ranked higher. If the above tiebreaker fails to separate tied teams, the team that scores the higher number of total tries (including penalty tries) in their matches is ranked higher.

Bonus points (also a tie) and points difference (France already well ahead) come before head to head result iirc.Jock42 wrote: Sat Mar 15, 2025 7:17 pm What is the first defining criteria in a tie? Sorry Scotland. As much as I cheer for you each match, not tonight. Allez les bleus.

Yeah, odd one. Six is legal, six is legal. Yellow card for six.Blackmac wrote: Sat Mar 15, 2025 8:16 pm Ritchie was told he was legal then lifted off his feet and dropped.
It's a nonsense penalty, ridiculous yellow.ScarfaceClaw wrote: Sat Mar 15, 2025 8:16 pmYeah, odd one. Six is legal, six is legal. Yellow card for six.Blackmac wrote: Sat Mar 15, 2025 8:16 pm Ritchie was told he was legal then lifted off his feet and dropped.

It also means that when he comes back on he can't chance his arm, which is part of a flanker's job

Scotland are getting munched in the forwards. That’s going to drain a lot of energy for later in the game.
