You could substitute that the other way round. It's a final. Both teams lacking experience and not surprisingly making errors.

I fear they're falling into "the semi-final was their final" territory.

This has haunted UBB for 2 seasons now. Discipline is terrible.

No disrespect to the lad because he's done his best in trying circumstances, but Litchfield does not have top end winger pace and it's hurt Northampton's attack. If they'd been able to have one of Furbank, Ramm or Hendy out there, I think they'd have been just incisive enough to make a difference.
Really? There’s some big established names in that UBB squad.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sat May 24, 2025 3:37 pmYou could substitute that the other way round. It's a final. Both teams lacking experience and not surprisingly making errors.
True. Lots of bang average to poor performances.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sat May 24, 2025 3:37 pmYou could substitute that the other way round. It's a final. Both teams lacking experience and not surprisingly making errors.

Bordeaux replacement hooker has had an all-time horrendously bad outing.

And the only final some of them have played in at club level, they were utterly humiliated by Toulouse.Lady P wrote: Sat May 24, 2025 3:39 pm Really? There’s some big established names in that UBB squad.

UBB giving a textbook example of how not to close out a game when you're two scores up.

The combo of that, really weak discipline and a lineout-maul that a blind team of dwarves would have been embarrassed by.Hal Jordan wrote: Sat May 24, 2025 3:41 pm UBB giving a textbook example of how not to close out a game when you're two scores up.

Lucu MOTM for me. Sa needs to go back to school. Horror show at hooker. More pies thrown than in a week at Melton.

Anyway, Borthwick will be pleased that Sleightholme has some game time.
Can’t disagree with thatOxbow wrote: Sat May 24, 2025 3:48 pm Too many Saints players were ordinary slash poor, I can only think of Coles who played well. Freeman tried hard but couldn't do it all in his own. Ref rode us hard but no way did we deserve to win, congratulations BB.

UBB deserve that overall. Saints made it very difficult and the grit was admirable, but they made too many mistakes of their own whenever Bordeaux's mistakes gave them a lifeline.

As per previous, the weirdness/stupidity of the draw meant they avoided the best 5 or 6 sides right up to the semi. And then did us all a favour with a mental performance

Yeah, Freeman worked exceptionally hard but never in a position to create anything. Mitchell, Smith and Pollock just never had any influence on the game. Really thought Saints could nick it but in the end the score flattered them.SaintK wrote: Sat May 24, 2025 3:50 pmCan’t disagree with thatOxbow wrote: Sat May 24, 2025 3:48 pm Too many Saints players were ordinary slash poor, I can only think of Coles who played well. Cole’s had a pretty impressive matchASMO wrote: Sat May 24, 2025 3:52 pm Smith and Mitchell pretty much shit the bed, Freeman was poor but got better, Pollock was pretty anonymous. Wont have done of their Lions starting 23 chances any good.
Won’t do his Argentina tour chances any harm
I don't think she gave him much room to do anything else. She wasn't really looking for his opinion, it was practically rhetorical in the tone she asked if he agreed, to do anything else would have been unseemly and confrontational.Jock42 wrote: Sat May 24, 2025 12:52 pmMassively so but it's not just on her. Adamson agreed with her.Tichtheid wrote: Fri May 23, 2025 7:35 pm I think Hollie has bottled it, there definitely seems to be a directive for refs to not give a red - that was as clear cut as it gets
I suppose we know he's shite though.
