Toulouse a classy team. Will take some team to beat them.
@ Torq the ref was good, Counter ref bashing from me.

I dunno, Exeter could really get blown away.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 3:56 pm Well both games have ended up with lopsided scores but expect the next 2 to be tight.

Agree: Ramos always been a confidence player and at the moment he is playing the best rugby of his life. Rumours are that Jaminet is already on his way out at end of season. Possibly to Toulon.TheFrog wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 4:00 pmMeafou in blue will be a huge improvement from Willemse.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 3:54 pm Dupont, Meafou and Ramos with world class performances today.
I've never rated Bosch at FH but FM he's a huge threat in open play. My favourite non-Fre player, Am, was surprisingly disappointing.
Ramos is growing in confidence. Jaminet will be second choice as long as Ramos plays at this level.
I have never rated Jaminet highly. Amazing athlete but little rugby IQ.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 4:03 pmAgree: Ramos always been a confidence player and at the moment he is playing the best rugby of his life. Under the Galthie system, the 15 has to play 10 regularly Nd Ramos is obviously comfortable in that role too.

Won't have much of a chance away to Leinster: at present they aren't some team but THE team. I'd have Leinster as favourites even if the game was in Toulouse.OomStruisbaai wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 4:02 pm Toulouse a classy team. Will take some team to beat them.

Just to repeat great effort and spirit by the Sharks. A game with no real niggle (bar the Ramos try/Van Rensburg tackle) and no slowing the game down.

Under Galthie system, 15 has to be a reliable dead ball kicker which Ntamack is not. Dupont is perfectly capable of playing back up 10 if required but yeah, Ramos clearly has the edge over Jaminet there.TheFrog wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 4:06 pm I have never rated Jaminet highly. Kerrist, Toulouse would have run in 100 against the Stormers.

Sopwith Camel got the job done as I recall, much like Nowell did therefishfoodie wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 4:38 pm After the English Electric Lightning wingers in the last match, this one get we get the, Sopwith Camel Jack Nowell ...

Watching on my laptop in deepest Gloucestershire, how do people live with wifi this poor? No wonder men from such a beautiful county turn into the gremlins that inhabit the Shed…
Exeter looking much the better from the pixels I’m seeing

This is the most dangerous Chiefs have looked all season. Wtf is up with the Stomers?
Only listening on Radio but don’t think anyone gets a bye in the latter stages.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 4:58 pm The winners of LaR v Sarries have a bye to the final.

A bye would be a tougher challenge. Anyway, it's Exeter through. How TAF are the Stormers 2nd in the URC? Worst team I've seen anywhere all season. Utterly clueless in every aspect of play.PCPhil wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 5:03 pmOnly listening on Radio but don’t think anyone gets a bye in the latter stages.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 4:58 pm The winners of LaR v Sarries have a bye to the final.
Worst half from the Stomps in years I reckon.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 5:06 pmA bye would be a tougher challenge. Anyway, it's Exeter through. How TAF are the Stormers 2nd in the URC? Exeter have done very little but against farcical play, it's been more than enough._Os_ wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 5:16 pm Delport correct on the comms, Stormers had no answer to Exeter's possession based game. Deon Fourie out, which is the main Stomp weapon against that game plan.
The Exeter try off the lineout identifying a weakness in the Stomp lineout positioning on defence, was good.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 5:17 pmExeter have done very little but against farcical play, it's been more than enough._Os_ wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 5:16 pm Delport correct on the comms, Stormers had no answer to Exeter's possession based game. Not a great half for the neutral spectator otherwise.
Commentator also wondered if their long winded journey to the UK may have had an effect_Os_ wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 5:16 pm Delport correct on the comms, Stormers had no answer to Exeter's possession based game. Deon Fourie out, which is the main Stomp weapon against that game plan.
That was the other guy and Delport replied to him that the Stomps have been made to work on defence and listed the tackle counts. I don't really buy travel stuff so much, it's much less than in Super Rugby (north/south travel in basically the same time zone, and short tours). If the SA teams and players start talking about travel then I'll take it seriously, but I've seen nothing much from them yet.SaintK wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 5:21 pmCommentator also wondered if their long winded journey to the UK may have had an effect_Os_ wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 5:16 pm Delport correct on the comms, Stormers had no answer to Exeter's possession based game. Toulouse can definitely beat Leinster. Especially without Sexton. Lowe could be out and Baird almost definitely is while we don't know the extent of VDF's injury.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 4:06 pmWon't have much of a chance away to Leinster: at present they aren't some team but THE team. Stormer's have woken up a bit over the last 10.
Who said that, or is it something you've made up? I didn't think we had any chance at all, there is a financial disadvantage that's so pronounced that we've structured our pro game in the knowledge we lose a lot of the best players at this level. SA sides did a bit better than I expected.Biffer wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 5:41 pm I thought the South Africans were going to show us all how this tournament should be played?

Exeter by far the better team. Stormers played like hard white dog shite. Good luck in the semis Chiefs.
